Shanghai Turbo is one of the leading precision engineering manufacturers in China focused on supplying precision vane products for steam turbine power generators. These are used in power plants, power stations and/or sub-stations and thus play a critical role in power and electricity production in China.

Continually Investing in Cutting-Edge Technology

To meet the high degree of dimensional accuracy required in our manufacturing process, we make it a point to acquire and deploy cutting-edge numerically controlled precision-manufacturing machinery from Japan, Germany, Switzerland and Korea. These include Japanese-made Mori Seiki machines, Swiss-made Starragheckert 5-axis manufacturing equipment and Korean-made Daewoo vertical manufacturing machines.

In 2016, we acquired 10 German-made C.B. Ferrari precision cutting equipment. This latest procurement has elevated Shanghai Turbo’s ability to undertake more demanding and exacting orders from global customers.

Engineering Workshop Cluster

Our manufacturing facility based in our headquarters in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, China, is undergirded by the following workshop cluster:

• Three computer-controlled CNC workshops comprising various self-contained machining centres capable of performing high-precision machining and polishing functions

• One dedicated polishing workshop for larger parts

• One wire-electrode cutting workshop for cutting raw special-grade steel

Our CNC capabilities are underpinned by the following capabilities:

• 21 sets of 5-axis machining centres

• 55 sets of 4-axis machining centres

• IBS German-made 6-Axis CNC abrasive belt grinding machine

• ELB German-made Compact Master

We emphasize quality assurance at every phase of our production process - from the procurement and receipt of raw materials to cutting, precision machining, burnishing, polishing and coating - to ensure that our products meet the expectations and requirements of our customers. Being ISO 9001:2000 certified, we follow clearly defined procedures to produce consistently high-quality products.

Employee Training and Skills Upgrading

Our employees are equipped with the necessary relevant training to empower them with the right skillsets to perform their daily tasks effectively and efficiently. We place substantial emphasis on improving and upgrading their technical knowledge, this include overseas training stints in Germany and Switzerland, to enable them to acquire the requisite manufacturing know-how.
